Great success in terms of visitors and social networking for the 22nd edition of ProWein, one of the biggest wine related international fairs in Germany

Huge numbers for the 22nd edition of ProWein2016, which took place in Düsseldorf from the 13th and the 15th of March: 6200 exhibitors from 57 countries, 55000 visitors (6% more compared to last year’s number) from 126 different countries. This year’s event did not disappoint the expectations of its publics, all specialized in the wine sector: during the three days fair wine trade, catering, grocery retail and hotel industry experts gathered to develop business relationships.

ProWein is an inevitable appointment for the wine sector professionals: with its nine pavilions, the wide offer of meetings, tastings and products, and its 300 events arranged for the participants it allowed them to uncover the new trends, new realities, new business horizons. Moreover, some areas were set up to explore different themes in the field of wine production and marketing: from the FIZZ Lounge, a space to present the ‘Shim cocktails’, to the tasting and packging areas, from the Champagne Lounge to the ‘same but different’ corner, an area dedicated to the elaboration of a ‘different’ marketing of products.

One of the most anticipated highlights of this year was the Organic Lounge, in which biological and biodynamic wines have been matched with personalized dishes cooked by the international chef Karsten Bessa.
